I love capturing beautiful people, places, special moments, and showing them to others. Photography has been a medium that's been feeding my creative soul for a long time. It has enabled me to see amazing places,  meet so many awesome people on an intimate level, and experience many rare moments. Following my lens has led me through life changing experiences that only a select few

can enjoy.

Here you will be able to see some of the things I've seen and meet some of the beautiful people I met. Each photo posted here came from my camera, my hand, and my eye unless stated otherwise.

My favorite subjects and themes to capture are intimate portraits of beautiful people; not just professional models but all kinds of people. I enjoy capturing candid life and dated architecture. I love capturing rare journalistic moments in time. I love capturing life happening behind closed doors and action behind the scenes.

Let's set up a session?

eBook Store

The best way to view complete sets and entire collections is through a book. I have ebooks of creative photo sessions dating all the way back to 2012. Visit my eBooks & Downloads store to check out my collections!

The #Lockdownexhibition was an Instagram-based event held on Easter 2020 Weekend. The whole project was put together by artist @sophieparkerdesign as a way to unite artists to create a platform to display their artworks in their personal creative space during the COVID-19 economic lock down. Over 100 artists took part and I must say, this was the most fun I've had in a long time on Instagram.

Typically this app is dead, boring, filled with ads, memes, influencers, and shallow selfies. But for a weekend, my feed was filled with art! Vibrant shape and texture filled art! Check out the hashtag #lockdownexhibition on Instagram to fill your world with art!

Here is what I exhibited. These are photos of different artworks I have hanging around my studio space. All of these works are currently for sale. Some are available in my Heliovista Store and the others are available through personal message

How's the self-quarantine life going for you? For me, it's pretty chill and I'm quite grateful for the time off. I've finally been able to get more art done, plan some moves, and get more photos edited. This situation's definitely been stressful around Detroit, but I'm safe, locked in, and staying positive.

In this photo set Kirsten poses beautifully and seductively in our creative studio. I absolutely love creating with Kirsten and consider her one of my best friends. I guarantee that you will be seeing more adventures featuring her soon.

In this set Kirsten is wearing Necklaces and a Jeweled belt made by me for my brand SmokeyCitrine. Check out my store to see my latest jewelry collection.

Summer 2019 Citrine LaCroix and I spent a month in Long Beach, California with our awesome friends Patrick and Ryan. These are a few snap shots of some of the things that I saw.

Citrine is my favorite subject, my favorite being, my muse. Working with her is always a spiritually intimate experience for me. She and my camera lens bond in a way that very few have been able to closely match. We have tons of photos stored away are creating many more in the near and far future. Her energy is strong and vibrant. Her mind is relentless, sharp, and powerful. She is an Artist with many focuses and has a handmade jewelry brand called Citrine Tangerine.

This photo set presents a few sides of Citrine. In the series she is posing in front of one of her vibrant large paintings while wearing one of her flower crowns. Below the set is an in-depth interview with Citrine that will show you a bit about why she models and what some of her messages are. To see the full set, visit my Private Blog.

How long have you been modeling and what made you want to get into it?

I've been modeling for 3/4 years consistently. What got me into modeling was exploring ways to sell, market, and expose...

Sarah is an awesome model with a fun adventurous personality and effortless natural beauty that needs no editing or retouching. Creating with her is stress free and a lot of fun. My only challenge with this session was selecting my favorite shots to publish and share. I first saw her work in a catalog by Citrine LaCroix for one of her fashion brands. So far, we've had 2 sessions with multiple looks that each capture a fraction of Sarah's intriguing personality and stunning looks. This set features her wearing several lingerie pieces from her own collection along with hand made jewels created by me that are available to be purchased here.  Be on the look out for more art featuring Sarah as there are many more shoots and experiences to come!

Check her interview below the gallery to learn more about who Sarah is and why she kills it the way she does.

How long have you been modeling and what made you want to get into it?

I’ve been modeling for two years! I got into it because...

Photographing a rehearsal of the band Motor City Playback formerly known as The Contours. This is a legendary Motown band that predates many of the greats. Some of the original members have died or retired, but the current members consist of singers from other Motown bands such as The Temptations. This was photographed in 2018.
