Aura Morgana: Elegance with a Hint of Darkness | Interview and Photo Set

Working with Aura was like a breath of bad ass fresh air. She was very calm, cool, friendly, and knowledgeable when it came to posing and the angles of her own body. She's a canvas for permanent intricate artwork and can pose in a way to show you every detail. This was our first collaboration of what I hope to be many. She can be seen here wearing custom jewelry by Citrine LaCroix (Citrine Tangerine) and some pieces by me.

After our shoot Aura was cool enough to do a little interview to give the world a closer look into her mind.

How long have you been modeling and what made you want to get into it?

1 year. My sister and best friend have been encouraging me to pursue modeling for years - I had the opportunity to start building my portfolio a year ago so I hopped on it and got started!

What's your favorite kind of modeling? Is there any kind you wish to try?

I love to model firearms and to model my tattoos. I want to try more artistic modeling - especially more horror content.

Do you have any advice for new models or people interested in giving modeling a try?

Do intensive research when looking for photographers to work with if/when you build your portfolio.

What do you do for a living other than modeling, or is modeling your full time gig?

Modeling is part time, I am a business analyst full time.

Are you treated differently by family and old friends because of your public image? Do people assume things about you because of the kind of work you do?

Yes, actually!

What are some of your favorite things to do?

My favorite things include spending time with my husband, reading, painting, yoga, walking, and strength training.

Would you say that modeling helped you gain confidence and self esteem?

Oh yes indeed and I am grateful for it!

What did you think about our session?

It was so fun! Very creative.

Where's your happy place?

Exploring a big city or walking in nature.

Some people say that they're fashion models, pinup models, glamour models, art models, etc. What do you call yourself and why?

I actually don't have a specific modeling 'type' because I model and have modeled so many styles. I like versatility.

What's wrong with this planet and how do we fix it? I know there's a lot wrong, but what's really bugging you?

How much food we throw away! Really, just how wasteful people are. (I am definitely guilty!)
